中心是为落实温家宝总理提出的“中方愿意设立10个职业教育培训中心，为东盟国家经济社会发展提供所需的人力资源”的倡议，由外交部和教育部于2012年7月共同批准成立的国家级对外（主要是东盟国家）教育和培训基地，是中国面向东盟10个教育培训中心中专门培养农业相关领域人才的教育培训基地。2018年，我校获批云南省面向南亚东南亚农业科技人才交流与教育培训基地。
China-ASEAN Education and Training Centerwas established inJuly 2012. Its establishment was in order toimplementtheformer Premier Wen Jiabao's initiative, which was"China is willing to establish 10 vocational education and training centers to provide the necessary human resources for the economic and social development of ASEAN countries.”, and wasjointly approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education. Its role isto provide education and trainingprograms and workshopstoforeign countries (mainly ASEAN countries).Amongthe 10 education and training centers in China facing ASEANcountries,the one at YNAU isspecializedin cultivating talents in agricultural fields. In 2018,YNAUwasalsoapprovedto establish aYunnan ProvincialExchange and Education Training Basefor CultivatingAgricultural Science and Technology Talent for South and Southeast Asia.
中心充分发挥云南省资源优势和学校学科、人才优势，聘请中国工程院院士、国务院政府特殊津贴专家、科技领军人才与教学名师参与授课，展示我国、我省农业研究前沿。通过农业人才培养与农业国际技术培训班，建好桥梁纽带、搭建合作平台，推动面对南亚与东南亚农业技术转移与应用，把云南的区位优势、资源优势、环境优势转化为发展优势，实现更好更快的发展。
Giving full play to theresourceadvantages of Yunnan Province and the discipline and talent advantages of YNAU, the Centerinvites CAE Member, experts enjoying State Council subsidies, leading scientific and technological talents and famous teachers to participate in the teaching. It devotes itself to presenting the forefront of agricultural research in China and Yunnan. Through seminars of agricultural talent cultivation and international agricultural technology training, we aim to establish bridges and cooperation platforms, so as to promote the transfer and application of agricultural technology in South and Southeast Asia. At the same time, the Center hopes to transform Yunnan's geographical, resource, and environmental advantages into development advantages, achieving better and faster development.
2022年10月由云南省农业农村厅、云南省人民政府外事办公室、越南社会主义共和国驻昆明总领事馆主办，云南农业大学国家学院（中国——东盟教育培训中心）、云南省红河州农业农村局承办的“越南农业管理何科技人员培训班”开班典礼
The opening ceremony of Vietnam Agricultural Management and Technology Personnel Training Course sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Agriculture,organized online and offline by China ASEAN Education and Training Center and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Honghe Prefecture.
