Gary has nearly 25 years’ experience in the development and delivery of Tertiary education at Lincoln University, with further experience at Canterbury Polytechnic Institute of Technology , lecturing to the MBA Program at Canterbury University, plus extensive commercial bespoke executive and specialist training for public and private clients, mainly in the area of Project Management.

Much of Gary’s later career has been as a professional Project Manager and Contract Executive , with his own management consultancy, Focus Group Limited, founded in 1998.

Gary was originally trained in engineering disciplines, having worked in the telecommunication industry for 20 years, the energy industry for 5 years and subsequently as a consultant/contract executive in various roles.

Previous roles have included project manager, general manager and operations manager in both technical and non-technical organisations.

Gary has international business experience working with customers, suppliers and partners in Australia, the U.S. Canada, Malaysia, and Canada. Having spent brief periods working in the United States and Australia.
