Dr. Alaa Hamood is the Principal Lecturer and Head of the Civil Engineering Department. He is from Faculty of Science and Engineering, School of Architecture and Built Environment. His areas of expertise are Sustainable construction materials, Fluid mechanics/Hydraulics, Water and Wastewater Engineering, Geotechnics.

阿拉·哈穆德博士是土木工程系主任兼首席讲师，来自建筑与建造环境学院科学与工程系，从事包括可持续建筑材料、流体力学/水力学、水和废水工程、岩土工程方面的研究。

Alaa is a holder of a PhD in Civil Engineering & Sustainable Construction Materials. He is also a holder of an MSc Waste Management and a BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering. Alaa has completed a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Academic Practice in Higher Education.

阿拉拥有土木工程与可持续建筑材料博士学位、废物管理理学硕士学位和土木工程荣誉理学学士学位，他还获得了高等教育学术实践研究生证书（PG Cert）。

He has multiple qualifications. He is PhD in Sustainable Construction Materials from the University of Wolverhampton in 2014, Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Wolverhampton in 2013, MSc Waste management from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2007, International BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering in 1996.

他拥有丰富的学习经历，曾于2014年获得伍尔弗汉普顿大学可持续建筑材料博士学位，于2013年获得伍尔弗汉普顿大学高等教育教学研究生证书，于2007年获得格拉斯哥卡利多尼安大学废物管理硕士学位，于1996年获得土木工程国际荣誉理学学士学位。

He has multiple publications in water replacement.
